Clause is the basic unit of a text,thus the basic transformation unit of text translation.However,clause has a large variety,which makes its translation complicated.This paper makes a tentative study of the different forms d English verbless clause and their different functions.It also provides some concrete methods of translating them into Chinese in texts of different styles.
