摘要
本文探讨新闻英语新词的特点及其翻译,对英语新词在汉语中的翻译和定名原则会有所助益.英语新词的翻译应该以译意方式为主,译名应该符合汉语的构词规律.英语新词的引介与翻译,对促进社会和文化的交流具有重要的意义.
This paper explores the characteristics of News English neologisms and their translation,which facilitates setting up translation rules of English neologisms.We propose that Chinese translation of English neologisms should primarily be based on meaning rather than transliteration,and should be made in compliance with rules of word and phrasal construction in Chinese.
