Different ways of language expressions generate from different cultures. Using different sentence structures to express the same content is due to different cultural backgrounds. Ambiguity is the important feature of Japanese that is not fully embodied in the content of the traditional intensive reading course, which perplexes students in language practice. In this essay the necessity of the cross-cultural education is exemplified in semantics and pragmatics, integrating cultural background knowledge into the traditional intensive reading course.
