从两种翻译策略并存看多元系统理论

An Exploration on Polysystem Theory from the Coexistence of Two Translation Strategies

埃文-佐哈尔(Even-Zoher)提出的多元系统理论强调目的语文化地位对译者翻译策略选择的影响,具有一定的解释力和适用性。但是,同其他翻译理论一样,它也具有不完善之处。本文以多元系统理论为框架,结合20世纪20—30年代中国出现的两大翻译派别——欧化派和规划派,进行分析,探讨多元系统论在忽略译者主体方面的局限性。并简要分析了文化态度对译者翻译目的和翻译策略所产生的影响。

Polysystem theory emphasizes the influences on the translators in their choices of translation strategies. It can explain some cases of literary translation.However,like any other translations theory, it is not universally applicable.The article firstly gives a brief introduction to polysystem theory and then made a detail analysis of the translation strategies took by the two opposite translation groups in the 1920s-1930s of China, from which the limitations of the polysystem theory are revealed.
