摘要
本文从四类修辞格对英语国家主要报纸杂志网站上的新闻标题进行了实证分析,探讨了各种修辞格在英语新闻标题中的应用,从而帮助网络读者通过标题更快获取信息,更准确地理解新闻,并能体会新闻标题的含义,鉴赏不同的修辞格。
This paper takes a departure point from four categories of rhetorical devices to examine headlines on major English newspapers and magazines websites from English-speaking countries with the method of empirical analysis.It studies the diverse rhetorical devices applied in English news headlines to help online readers acquire information more quickly,comprehend news more accurately,and figure out the meanings of headlines and appreciate the various rhetorical devices.
