This paper introduces the content and procedure of BEC vantage speaking test,and puts forward strategies correspondent to the three parts of test,such as giving concise answer,taking advantage of non-linguistic factor,strengthening discourse structure as well as following cooperative principle in conversation.On this basis,the author also analyzes the inspiration to teaching brought by the test,and points out the significance of situational method to the preparation of the test.
