民国时期,社会动荡不安,社会公益事业的需求极为旺盛。江南地域社会之中的评弹从业群体,以义演的方式筹措钱物,为政治进步与慈善活动贡献自身力量。评弹的义演活动多在上海、苏州等江南城市举行,参与群体涵盖了艺人、书场老板、电台经理、票友、听众等,具有鲜明的时代特色。通过评弹义演对于认识民国时期评弹行业发展以及评弹与社会互动关系具有重要意义。

In the period of the Republic of China,the society was in turmoil,and the demand of social welfare was extremely strong.In the society of Jiangnan,Pingtan working group raised money for charity,contributing their strength for political progress and charitable activities.Charity activities held in Shanghai,Suzhou and other southern cities,with participants from artists,the venue owners,radio station managers,amateurs and andience.It has distinctive characteristics of that time.The charity has significant importance in understanding between Pingtan industry development in this period as well as Pingtan and social interaction.
