to repower conventional coal plants is a very important way to optimize China's thermal power mix.IGCC is an advanced power generating technology and it has many advantages,such as higher efficiency,lower environment pollution etc.Thus IGCC is a alternative to repower lower efficiency coal fired plants which pollute the environment very much.The predominance of repowering conventional coal plants with IGCC in terms of technology and pollution prevention in this thesis.The economics of pollution prevention is also estimated.
