摘要 文章在分析虫洞路由交换机制及其路由器缓冲区组织方法的基础上,设计并实现了基于缓冲式虫洞路由交换机制、采用伸缩缓冲区实现流量控制方法的DawningUX8路由器芯片。应用结果表明该设计方案可以很好地解决刹车问题并有效地减少阻塞发生,所实现的路由芯片速度快、延迟时间短,可以有效提高网络性能。 Wormhole routing switching is us ually applied to routers in cluster interconnection networks to reduce communica tion latency.However,congestion and brake problem will inevitably occur due to small size of buffers.With the switching mechanism and the buffering organizat ion analyzed,Dawning-UX8routing chips are designed and implemented based on b uffered wormhole routing with flow controlled by elastic buffers.Practical data of the chip show that this designing well solves the brake problem and reduces congestion and the chip owns high speed and low latency.
