In the present paper a new species and a new record are described. Neodiplostomum fukiense, sp. nov. Specific diagnosis: Body small, 2--2.114 mm in length. Forebody leaf-shaped,measuring 1.257--1.370×0.457--0.614 mm. Lateral margins of forebody turned ventral-wards and fused posteriorly. Hindbody cylindrical, measuring 0.751--×0.271--0.343mm. Oral sucker oval, terminal, 0.086--0.100×0.074--0.079mm. Acetabulum oval,at the posterior mid-leval of the forebody, 0.129--0.157×0.100 mm. Tribocytic organelliptical, with median slit, 0.229--0.243×0.143--0.157 mm, near the posterior end ofthe forebody. Ovary short--elliptical, median, pretesticular, at the anterior part of the hind-body, 0.086--0.143×0.157 mm. Testes symmetrical, anterior testis 0.143--0.186×0.243--0.286 mm, posterior testis bigger, 0.157--0.171×0.286--0.300 mm. Ootype cir-cular, lying between the testes, about 0.057×0.057 mm. Seminal vescicle short--ellip-tical, 0.143--0.157×0.100--0.114 mm, near the posterior end of the hindbody. Genitalatrium opening subterminally. Vitellaria extending from the hindbody. Genital atriumopening subterminally. Vitellaria extending from the hindbody to the posteror margin ofoesophagus. Eggs oval, 0.0833--0.0857×0.0500 mm. Host: Pandion haliaetus (Linne). Location: Intestine. Locality: Foochow, Fukien. Type and paratypes: Preserved in the Department of Biology, Nanking University,Nanking. This worm closely resembles Neodiplostomum striges Yamaguti, 1939, from which itdiffers by: (1) Anterior testis symmetrical, and median; (2) Vitelline follicles small, extending from the end of hindbody to the posterior margin of oesophagus; (3) Ovaryoval; (4) Ootype lying between the testes. Posthodiplostomum brevicaudatum (Nordmann, 1832). Six specimens were collected from the intestine of Bataurus stellaris in Kwangtung. The Kwangtung specimens differed from the type by three principal characters, viz thedistribution of vitellaria, the longer caecae and the smaller eggs. This is the first record of the genus Posthodiplostomum from China.
