Strengthening Geological Prospecting is the Key to Settling the Problems Associated with "Four mines

文章认为 ,我国“四矿”问题的出现 ,与地质勘查工作滞后有关 ,具体表现在 :矿产资源保证程度低 ,对国外矿产依赖程度加大等 ,已严重影响了矿业城市的可持续发展和国家社会经济稳定 ,指出要解决“四矿”问题 ,必须首先解决对地质勘查工作的认识问题。加强地质勘查工作是解决“四矿”问题的治本之策。

The paper points out that the appearance of 'four mines' is related to a lag in geological prospecting work. It is argued that this situation occurs as a result of the low level of guarantees associated with mineral resources, and because of the growing dependence on foreign mineral resources, which has seriously influenced both the sustainable development of mining-industry-based cities, and the stability of the national social economy. Finally, the author points out that to address the problem of 'four mines,' we must first better recognize the importance of geological prospecting work, and then work to strengthen its foundation.
