The Strategies of Media Narrative:a Pentadic Analysis of the Newspaper Coverage of"Chinese Mainland Offering Giant Pandas to Taiwan"

本文主要运用"戏剧五要素分析法",对"大陆向台湾赠送大熊猫"事件进行新闻文本的分析和解读。比较了《人民日报》、《中国时报》以及《自由时报》如何通过各自的叙事策略对该事件中的五要素以不同的处理,使报道呈现出不同的路径和方向。《人民日报》更多地展现了"目的"和"人物"要素,塑造出一种积极主动、和平团结的形象和愿望。《中国时报》则通过淡化台湾执政当局和相关部门对赠送"手段"上的"质疑"色彩,积极参与到赠送和接受大熊猫的"行动"过程中去。《自由时报》更突出"手段"上的"不合理"以及把主题转移到对方"人物"要素上的叙事策略,传达了对赠送大熊猫的"消极"和"反对"声音。不同的叙事策略反映了不同的意识形态,与其生产者的社会和政治态度密切相关,对受众的认知也可能产生相应的影响。

The paper mainly applies pentadic analysis to the newspaper coverage of'Chinese Main- land Offering Giant Pandas to Taiwan',comparing the narrative strategies of People's Daily,China Times,Liberty Times which use the different methods about the pentad ,and then present the differ- ent way.People's Daily mainly shows'Purpose'and'Agent',which shapes positive image and peaceful desire.China Times weakens the questions from authority in Taiwan and'acts'zealously. While Liberty Times conveys negative response through the given'unreasonable''agency'and the- sis-transform to the counter'agent'.The different narrative strategies reflect the different ideology, correlating with the social form,political attitude and media system,which may also influence audi- ence's cognition and belief.
