This article tries to trace the history of the media studies in Westminster University and map its position in British media studies.It picks up some historic clips such as its historical background of polytechnics and the establishment of Media,Culture & Society,to give us a brief introduction of Westminster school's characteristics.And then centers on its most important tradition as critical political economy of communication.
