泛在学习时代的大学英语教师发展模式探究 被引量:1

A Ubiquitous-learning-based Integrative Mode for College English Teachers’Professional Development

摘要 现有大学英语教师发展模式研究侧重于教师发展的具体方法或新型信息技术为教师发展带来的新契机、新途径,而忽视对教师发展的过程和行为进行全面解析。为弥补这一不足,本研究将提出泛在学习时代从教师视角出发的综合教师发展模式。该模式基于个案分析结果,结合有效教师发展的特点以及泛在学习的特点,整合多个相关方以及多种教师发展活动和行为。该模式将有助于提高大学英语教师对于教师发展的认识和理解,为每位在职教师的专业发展提供指导。 Previous research on the professional development of College English teachers has been largely restricted to methods of effective teacher development and new ways of teacher development brought by the advances in information technologies.Little has been done to provide an overview of the entire set of actions and activities involved in the process of teacher development,nor to establish an integrative,teacheroriented mode for the professional development of in-service College English teachers.The present study instantiates an effort to propose such a mode,with an eye to offering a bird view of what a teacher can do and should do for his or her professional development.The mode takes into account the feedbacks of a dozen College English teachers,as revealed in a case study of the teacher development system in Beijing Jiaotong University.It also gives full consideration to the features of effective teacher development and those of ubiquitous learning.It specifies all the parties,actions,and activities that are possibly involved in teacher development,and outlines the interaction between them.The mode can increase English teachers’knowledge and awareness of teacher development,and serve as a guiding framework for an individual teacher’s professional development.
