西藏首次发掘吐蕃时期苯教文献——访著名藏族学者巴採·巴桑旺堆先生

巴採·巴桑旺堆先生是中国民族史学会副会长、中国史学会理事、国际藏学研究会理事、西藏社会科学院民族研究所所长、研究员,曾五度出访,为奥地利科学院、美国纽约哥伦毕亚大学的访问学者,现系英国剑桥大学访问学者。多年来,他致力于藏族古代史的研究,尤其在吐蕃非王室墓葬、古代石刻碑文研究和史料整理翻译方面,成果显著,在国内外享有很高的声誉。巴採·巴桑旺堆先生认为,在西藏境内发掘吐蕃时期的苯教文献尚属首次。从该文献的内容、书写及语法特点而言、对研究古代苯教仪轨和相关历史有很高的研究价值。

Bacha·Basang Wangdui is the vice President of Association of Chinese Minority Historiaris,the member of Association of Chinese Historiaris and Association of International Tibetan Studies(the only mem-ber in China),the vice director and researcher of Tibet Academy of Social Science.He has visited some for-eign countries for five times and went to Austrian Academy of Sciences and Columbian University as a visiting scholar.At present,he is at Cambridge University as a visiting scholar.Mr.Basang Wangdui has being devot-ed himself to the study of ancient Tibetan history,especially non-royal tombs during the reign of Tubo King-dom,the ancient stone inscription and the collocation and translation of historical data.He enjoys a high repu-tation in this field both at home and abroad.Bacha.Basang Wangdui assumes that it is the first time that Bon-ism literature has been found in Tibet Autonomous Region.From the content,writing and grammatical feature of the literature,it will be of great significance to study ancient Bonism rituals and the pertained history.
