Diamond Mountain is the famous mountain in Korean Peninsula. There is always a so-called Chinese verse popularized in Korea, "Love to be born in koryo, so that to visit Diamond Mountain". Around the end of 20^(th) century, the mass media of Korea attached this verse to the great poet, Su Dongpo. The definite origin of this verse can't be discerned in detail, but if we view it from the special background at the end of Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of Ming Dynasty, the historical facts of Chinese envoys who visited Diamond Mountain frequently as well as the Buddhism connotations of the Mountain, the possibility of the verse originated from China is rather high. However, this so-called Chinese verse from the generated to the popularized in Korean Peninsula is not only related with the national emotion of Koreans, but also reflects the deep influences of Chinese culture on Korean Peninsula.
