大螟在苏北稻区1a发生3～4代,主害代第三代主要为害中晚稻。大螟寄主范围广泛,一代主要发生在稻田外,二、三代在稻田内转株为害。大螟在不同生境寄主上发育进程有差异。依据其发生特点,制定了大螟的有效治理策略。
