摘要
通过对南口山前红土砾石层沉积物的机械组成、粘土矿物及化学成分、沉积结构特征及微结构特征研究分析表明:南口山前红土砾石层沉积与冰川作用无关,是古泥石流沉积。同时在古泥石流形成时期,气候比较湿热,雨量丰富,氧化作用、物理风化作用和化学风化作用都比较强烈。
Analyses of the mechanical composition, chemical composition, clay minerals andsedimentary microstructures and microtextures of piedmont red earth and graveldeposits in Nankou northwest of Beijing suggest that these deposits have nothingto do with glaciation but are paleo-debris flow deposits. During the period of theirdeposition, the climate was hunid and hot, rainfall was plentiful, and oxidation andphysical and chemical weathering were rather intense.
