The Themes and Significances of Traditional Thought of Official Morality

中共中央办公厅、国务院办公厅印发《关于实施中华优秀传统文化传承发展工程的意见》,明确指出"中华优秀传统文化蕴含着丰富的道德理念和规范。"依中华优秀文化涉及治国理政的精神遗产来看,传统官德思想仍然可以给当前官员道德建设,提供具有参考价值和启示意义的历史资源。它丰富的内容阐释,既包括对普通人提出的一般性道德理念,也包括由此基础上升为官员职业伦理的特殊道德理念,而贯彻于从做人到做官过程的是一系列表现为动态的品性修身工夫。每个具体道德理念各自相通,而两大道德理念系列又彼此相连,形成了一个逻辑严密的体系。我们应当重视这份民族智慧。

The Guidelines on Preserving and Developing Excellent Traditional Culture,which were jointly issued by the General Office of the Communist Party of China(CPC)Central Committee,and the General Office of the State Council,have been clearly pointed out that the Chinese excellent traditional culture contains abundant moral concept and specifications.According to the spiritual heritage of China's excellent culture involving the governance of the country,the traditional official morals can still provide moral construction for the current officials,and provide the historical resources with the reference of valuable and enlightening significances. Her rich content interpretation includes not only the general moral idea which is put forward as the ordinary person,but also the special moral idea which rises from this foundation of the general moral idea to the official profession ethics,and while being carried out in the process from the general moral idea to the official profession ethics there is a series of character self-cultivation that shows dynamic.Each specific moral concept is interlinked,and the two series of moral concepts are connected to each other,all of them forming a logical and rigorous system.We should pay attention to this national wisdom.
