This paper reviewed the characters of human reliability analysis(HRA) and the limitations of its first generation. A new method of HRA, i.e. ATHEANA, is introduced. The ideas and concepts, basic behavioral models, analysis framework, application process of the method are discussed with an application example from a nuclear power plant.
