FUTURE DIRECTION We desperately need more neurolaryngological re-search and need to encourage laryngologists to enter thisfield to increase the scienific knowledge base. The know-ledge of neurolaryngology is useful not only for otolaryn-gologists but also for other relevant clinicians because var-ious clinical departments need to deal with respiratory,Phonatory, swallowing disorders more or less. We recom-mend neurolaryngology as an advanced medical educationcourse. Even after years of careful investigaions, there is avery large gap in knowledge of neurolaryology.
