有限形式与无限意象——从现代设计角度谈谈太极图

Limited Forms and Unlimited Images ——Analyzing the Tai Chi Picture From the perspective of modern graph designing

产生于六、七千年前的古老太极图,是美术史上图形设计的经典之作,具有跨时空的现代性。作为东方文化和东方精神的象征图形,我们有必要运用现代设计学原理,从图形设计的角度,对太极图的构成形式及其表达出来的意象进行分析,寻找这一古老图形与现代设计的关系。

The ancient Tai Chi Picture, a classical masterpiece in the art’s history originated about six or seven thousand years ago, is characterized by modernity that transcends time and space. Therefore, it is necessary for us to analyze, in the light of modern graph designing principles, the constructive forms and the images expressed in the Tai Chi Picture, as a symbol of the Oriental culture and spirit, to search for the connections between this ancient picture and modern design.
