The Latent Orders——Chinese Classical Garden Under the Influence of Time-space Conception

时间和空间是物质存在的基本形式。时空观即宇宙观。本文从中国传统时空观入手,探讨时间与空间的关系,分析时空观在古典园林中的渗透及具体表现,指出古典园林的本质是时间顺序与空间延展巧妙结合的时空统一体。中国古典园林把理想的时空模式——"天人合一"作为最高境界,追求"无序中的有序",而这种有序性就来自于时空作用的规律性。

Time and space are basic forms of matter. The time-space conception is just the universal conception. This paper starts with the Chinese traditional time-space conception, discusses the relation between the time and the space, analyses the reflection on Chinese classical garden and its representation, points out the essence of Chinese classical garden is a time-space entity which skillfully integrates time sequence and space spread. The most advanced realm of Chinese classical garden is the perfect time-space mode——'Harmony between human being and nature'. Chinese classical garden is in pursuit of something which is actually orderly but apparently out-of-order. The order quality is caused by the rule of the interplay of time and space.
