Nowaday, mix&match has invaded in our life. It is in everywhere including the design field. At present, there is lack of the research of the mix &match, let alone the research mix&match in design field. What is the mix&match? What is the mix&match’s essence? Where is the mix&match from and how will it develop? There are so many problems. This article is embarks from the design history angle, which is to discuss the design historical depth of field of the mix&match and early stage of the mix&match, in order to make out where the mix&match is from and help people to cognize the essence of the mix&match clearly.
