再议产品设计中的“形式追随功能”

The "Form Follows Function" in Product Design

本文以"形式追随功能"这句话为切入点,介绍了这句话提出的历史背景以及含义,之后结合历史上的几个设计案例详细论证了产品设计中形式和功能的关系,并将其总结为:形式追随功能,功能决定形式,而形式和功能都应以人的使用方式为出发点。最后通过对实际设计案例的分析,提出以使用方式为出发点的产品设计方法,即应从事物的本质动作出发去考虑产品的设计,并将产品设计放在其具体的使用环境中去考虑。

Beginning with the words 'form follows function',this thesis introduces the history background and meaning of those words.Then demonstrate the relationship between form and function basing on several design cases in history.That is:form follows its function while function dominates its form,furthermore,the form and function are all determined by the using-way of users.Finally,through the analyzing the design cases,the author come up with the way of design based on the people's using-way,that is as a designer,we should keep our eyes on the action of operation the product.
