DNA microarray technologies allow a parallel analysis of RNA abundance and DNA homology for large number of genes in a single experiment.In this paper we concentrate on detailedly discussing a branch of microar-ray technologies-robotically spotted DNA microarray technology-and its fruitful ability to monitor gene expression for tens of thousands genes in parallel.
