The instrument is one of the important factors in monetary policy. There are distinct characteristics when developed countries choose their monetary instruments. It is very essential for us to study these characteristics in order to settle the problem of how to choose instruments. The choice of monetary instruments is affected not only by economy system, status of economy and finance, but also by one country's economy traditions. The characteristics of present economy and finance decide the particularity of the choice of monetary instruments.
