从英语写作的重要性和特点入手 ,简要阐述了什么是英语写作能力 ,如何在英语写作课的教学过程中培养和提高学生的英语写作能力等问题 ,指出英语写作课的教学不仅仅是英语写作理论的传授和写作技能的训练 。

This article first illustrates the importance and characteristics of English writing. Then it discusses what English writing competence is and how to train and improve students' English writing competence in English writing course. The author suggesrs that in English writing course, it is not enough only to teach the principles of English writing and to train writing skills is not enough. The importance of English writing lies in training and improving the students' English writing competence along with the development of students.
