The Using of Internet Information by Academic Users and Its Evaluation

在联合国教科文组织和国家社科基金资助下,采用问卷调查的方法,对我国学术界互联网用户的背景、用户利用互联网资源的现状、用户的信息查询行为、用户对互联网信息资源的评价和用户对未来互联网服务的期望5个方面进行了分析和讨论。

The study examines the use of Internet resources and the evaluation of its usefulness from the perspectives of students and academics in China. The questionnaires were distributed at Peking University, IS-TIC and Information Institute of Science and Technology of Zhejiang Province, where 706 valid samples were collected. The data are analyzed according to the background of the Internet users; the state - of - the - art of using Internet resources; the Internet information seeking behavior; the users' evaluation of Internet resources and their perceived expectation to future Internet services.
