The principle of earthquake location by way of seismological array station is discussed.Some important characteristics of apparent slowness used in the earthquake locations by seismological array station and by seismographic network in Shanghai are discussed too.Furthermore,taking the earthquake as a sample,the location made by seismological array station is compared with the location made by seismographic network.Finally,the vector-correction value of the area and range where the transverse velocity changes is given and discussed.It is the transverse vector-correction which causes the error between the location made by seismological array station and the location made by seismographic network.
