The developmentof the raw salt sectorin China lags behindChina is one of the largest raw saltproducers in the world.The out-put of raw salt was 37.101 milliontons in 2004,and is expected toreach 42.0 million tons in 2005.Raw salt in China is mainly classi-fied into sea salt and inland salt.Main sea salt producing areas aredistributed in the Bohai Bay region.
