BP and Sinopec Celebrate 10-Year Anniversary of YARACO

BP and Sinopec held a ceremony inChongqing on November 30th,2005 tocelebrate the 10th anniversary ofYangtze River Acetyls Company(YARACO)-an acetic acid joint venturebetween BP and Sinopec since Decem-ber 1995.At the ceremony,BP andSinopec also announced that the plant’sacetic acid production capacity hadbeen successfully expanded from 200000 t/a to 350 000 t/a.The expansioncompletion has further consolidatedYARACO’s position as one of the larg-est acetyls facilities in China.The 10thanniversary of YARACO,together withthe completion of its expansion。
