MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether) is anexcellent blending component forleadless and oxygen-containing ve-hicle gasoline with a low aromaticcontent and a high octane number.The use of oxygen-containing new-formulation gasoline has further pro-moted the development of the MTBEproduction.
