1.Supply deficit of SISSIS (styrene-isoprene-styrene blockcopolymer) can be used to produceadhesives,coatings and plasticmodifiers.The production capacity ofSIS in the world is around 350 thousandt/a today and the output is around 300thousand tons,accounting for 15%-20% of the total output of styrene ther-moplastic elastomers.The research and development of SISin China was started in the 1980s.TheResearch Institute of Sinopec BeijingYanhua Petrochemical Company Ltd.,the Research Institute of CNPCLanzhou Petrochemical Company Ltd.
