There were 32 250 major companies (allstate-owned enterprises and non-state enterpriseswith annual sales of over RMB5million) in China’s petrochemical industryat the end of February 2009, 4 224 or 15.1% more from a year earlier, according to alatest report by China Petroleum andChemical Industry Association (CPCIA).
