MTBE (methyl tert-butyl ether) is an excel-lent blending component for leadless and oxy-gen-containing vehicle gasoline with a low aro-matic content and a high octane number.Theuse of oxygen-containing new-formulationgasoline has further promoted the develop-ment of the MTBE production.
