PetroChina Jilin Petrochemical Co., Ltd. isthe only maker of CSM (chlorosulfonatedpolyethylene) in China, producing 2 900 tonsin 2004. Due to a lack of solvent carbontetrachloride, output was slightly reduced toaround 2 480 tons in 2005. Because of a re-striction on carbon tetrachloride discharge, thecompany has produced no more than I 000tons ofCSM a year since 2007. The productportfolio is roughly 61% for type 40, 32%for type 30, 5.5% for type 45 and 1.5% fortype 48.
