On August 20th,2009 China launched aproject to spend five years in collecting andtreating 10 000 tons of residual persistentorganic pollutants (POPs) in wasted insecti-cides by environmental harmless technologies.The Chinese government also plans to for-mulate or modify the management policiesand technical standards for hazardous wastes.According to the investigation the ChineseResearch Academy of EnvironmentalSciences,before 2004,China’s 58 insecticideactive ingredient makers generated approxi-mately 3 840 to 4 380 tons of wastes thatexists in the forms of sold or liquid withoutany manual management.In addition。
