In the past two years,China’s annual apparentconsumption of bisphenol A (BPA) wasbasically stable,about 500 000 tons.Consideringthe impact of the international financialcrisis,it is expected that in 2012,China’s demandfor BPA will be 600 000-650 000 tons,and China’s BPA capacity will reach 760 000t/a.So in the next 2-3 years,the demand andsupply of BPA in China can be basicallybalanced,and its market prospects will dependprimarily on the development of thedownstream polycarbonate industry.
