China Announces Census Results of Pollution Sources

China’s wastewater discharge totaledaround 209 billion tons in 2007 while thewaste gas emissions amounted to 63.7 trillioncubic meters, according to the first nationalcensus report of pollution sources,jointly released by the Ministry of EnvironmentalProtection (MEP), the NationalBureau Statistics and the Ministry of Agricultureon February 9th.
