Tianjin Dagu Chemical Co Ltd (DaguChem) disclosed that it started operationof a 1 500 t/a pilot unit that producespropylene oxide from hydrogen peroxide(HPPO).Commercial product is expectedto enter the market at the end of 2010.This is China’s first HPPO unit withthe technology patented by Chinese firm.More over Dagu Chem is constructing a10 000 t/a commercial HPPO unit.Itscurrent 100 000 t/a propylene oxide unitwas imported from Mitsui ToatsuChemicals,Inc.
