In a ground-breaking ceremony on September 16th,LANXESS-TSRC marked thestart of construction of its nitrile rubber (NBR) plant in Nantong,Jiangsu province.LANXESS-TSRC is a joint venture between German specialty chemicals groupLANXESS and TSRC of Taiwan province,and is awaiting the last of the cartelregulatory authorities approval which is envisaged shortly.LANXESS-TSRC plansto start production in the first half year of 2012 with the annual capacity of 30 000tons to serve the rapidly growing Chinese market with high-quality grades of NBR.It is mainly used by the automotive and construction industries.
