China is one of a few countries in the worldthat can produce fumed silica. It was reportedthat in 2009,the global fumed silicacapacity was 306 100 t/a. China’s fumedsilica capacity ranked third in the world in2009 and will rank second by the end of2010.The fumed silica industry is developingrapidly in China,especially in the past fiveyears,when the capacity and output havegrown at an average annual rate of almost100%.
