揭开雌性蜜蜂级型决定分子机制的神秘面纱

摘要 雌性幼虫在不同食物的滋养下,可精准地发育成蜂王或工蜂。雌性蜜蜂的这一级型分化是蜜蜂社会性结构形成的基础。蜜蜂级型决定分子机理这一主题的研究主要从两个角度展开:一是蜜蜂幼虫级型分化的分子机理的探究;二是蜜蜂幼虫食物中对分化起作用的组分的识别。本文主要介绍近期这两个方向具有重要意义的研究结果,并对今后的研究方向进行了展望。 Feeding with different food,a female honey bee can develop into queen or worker with great reliability.Caste differentiation in female honey bee forms the cornerstones of honey bee sociality.There are two dominant orientations in studies of molecular mechanisms of caste determination.One is to understand molecular mechanisms of larvae differentiation,and the other is to identify of the major substance inducing caste differentiation in larva food.This article introduces recent advancements in both orientations and highlight unanswered questions in need of further research.
