摘要
检查了来自广东省各地的灰褐秀眼鸟93只,其中5只天然感染有疟原虫,鉴定该虫属于血阿米巴亚属Haemamoeba,这在我国是一新记录。
Plasmodium subpraecox described in this paper was isolated from Zosterops cinerea in Guangdong province. All specimens are deposited in the Parasitology Laboratory, Department o f Biology, Zhongshan University. Plasmodium (Haemamoeba) subpraecox. This new record is a small parasite in the subgenus Haemamoeba. The infec- tion is light in the natural host. The young trophozites are amoeboid or oval, with growth, dark pigment appears in the cytoplasm. Six to twelve merozoites are produced in a mature schizont, and they tend to be distributed on the periphery of the parasite. Large trophozoites and schizonts displace the nucleus of the host cell. Both macrogametocytes and microgametocytes are round bodies that displace the nucleus of the host cell. The number of the black pigment granules are 13 to 20, and they usually locate at one pole of the parasites. This species is a first record of malaria parasites of Haemamoeba in China.
