司马迁“孔子删诗说”述证

On Sima Qian's Argument of Confucius' the Book of Songs

由一系列的考证可以得知:孔子确曾有"删诗"之举。据前人考证,鲁昭公二十年(前522), 孔子三十岁,始授徒设教。如果此论不差,则《诗经》的固定成书并具有权威当正在这一时期。司马迁的 "孔子删诗说"并没有错,乃是后人误读了《史记》。

It is concluded from a series of textual criticism that all the poems in the Book of Songs were being selected by Confucius from the numerous poems which had been composed already in his time. Some scholars said that Confucius began to recruit and teach disciples when he was thirty years old. If the version is credible, It must be in those days that the Book of Songs became a definite and authoritative anthology. It is not true that Sima Qian misread the Analects, and the fact is that futurities misread Historical Records.
