《在悬崖上》发表后引发了激烈的争论,从争论中我们可以发现那一时代人们的思想、思考问题的方式。本文先对这些争论做了一个整体回顾和简要的评价,然后重点从文本入手来探讨了争论产生的原因,同时也提出了自己的小说的看法。这篇小说虽然写出了那一时代的生命个体的情感波折,写出了个体丰富的内心体验,展示出了情感与道德、个体与群体的复杂关系,这对当时的文学创作无疑是一个丰富和补充。但是,我们也必须看到,这篇小说仍然是以主流话语作为主要思想的文本,没有摆脱当时的意识形态的限制。

On the Cliff arose heated argument after its publication,from which we can find people's thought and the way of thinking at that time.This thesis first generally reviews and evaluates the argument,and then mainly discusses the cause of the argument from its version,and meanwhile states out the thought of the writer of this thesis.On the Cliff displays the twists and turns of an individual's emotional life at that time,expresses an individual's rich internal experiences,and shows the complex relationship between emotion and morality,individual and group.No doubt it complements and enriches the literary creation at that time.However,we should notice,this novel hasn't extricated itself from the restriction of ideology at that time,thus is still a version with the mainstream of language as its theme.
