摘要
本文旨在探讨关联理论是如何帮助大学英语教师实现其话语目的的。通过课堂录音收集资料并凭借关联理论对此进行分析,结果发现,大学教师与学生互动时擅长借助关联理论原则向学生发出明示刺激以鼓励学生对此进行推理,从而影响其认知环境,弄清教师话语的意图,最终实现提高学生语言及交际能力的目的。
This paper is intended to explore how relevance theory helps the goal-attainment of college English teacher talk.Data of teacher talk is collected by classroom recording.After analyzing the data in the light of relevance theory,the paper finds out that college English teachers tend to apply principles of relevance theory to help produce ostensive stimulus to students in classroom interaction and encourage students to process it so as to influence students' cognitive environment and make them understand the teacher's communicative intention,thus improving students' linguistic competence and communicative competence as well.
