文革废除高考的原因及其危害探析

Analysis on the Reason and Harmfulness of the Abolition of University Entrance Exam in Cultural Revolution

文革期间出于政治斗争需要,以及平均主义思想、狭隘的经验主义思想的影响,尤其是高考竞争过于激烈等原因我国废除了高考,实行推荐与选拔相结合的新招生办法。其结果破坏了教育公平,致使教育质量下降,"读书无用论"思想泛滥,造成一个时期我国建设事业人才匮乏,一代人的培养和成长被贻误。

During the Cultural Revolution,due to the need of political contend,the impact of the equalitarianism ideology and narrow empirical thinking,and the fierce competition in entrance examination,China abolished university entrance examination and adapted to new recruitment methods which combined recommendation and selection. As a result,the fairness of education was undermined,leading to declining quality of education,spreading the idea of 'the uselessness of study',and resulting in a lack of qualified personnel for social construction for a long period in China. Therefore,the cultivation and growth of a generation has been bungled.
