In the field of international politics, realism is an important theoretical paradigm to analyze international issues. In its developing process, realism evolved from classical realism to new realism. In the paper, author distinguishes the theories of the two schools and clarifies the relationship between structural realism and offensive realism, which are the two major branches of new realism. It’s beneficial for us to understand the theories of the schools, and to view international issues more deeply and completely.
